When you light your candle for the first time, allow it to burn for 2-3 hours until the liquid wax has pooled to the edge of the vessel, to help ensure an even wax melt and prevent tunneling. Trim the wick between burns to enable a long burn time.

Carla Murdoch is a ceramicist based in Sheffield. Carla wheel-throws her pots using stoneware clay and skillfully plays with natural glazes made from metallic elements. The reduction of metallic oxides in the kiln creates beautiful, natural variation between each piece.
